Party Found is run by System Advance Limited (NZBN 9429053809735). We collect as little personal information as the site needs to work, and we never sell it.

If you are browsing

You can search and read every listing without an account. We do not run advertising, and the site's own records do not keep your IP address or browser details.

We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages people visit, how they found us (a search engine or another site), roughly where they are (city or country), what kind of device and browser they use, and which links to supplier sites they click. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_Y85KN6JLL4, that let it tell one visit from another. They last up to 12 months. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. We have turned off Google's advertising features for this site, so the data is not used to show you ads. We keep analytics data for 14 months, and we only look at it as totals. Google Analytics does not run in the supplier area.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.

When you use a button to call, email or visit a supplier, we count that click so suppliers can see the directory is useful. The count records the supplier, the kind of button, the time and the page it was on. It holds nothing that identifies you. We keep these counts for up to 24 months and only report them as totals.

To stop automated abuse, the site briefly turns your connection's address into a one-way code and counts requests against it for 10 to 60 seconds. That code is never stored or logged.

If you suggest a correction

The correction form asks which detail is wrong and what it should say. Your email address is optional: give it if you would like us to be able to ask you about the change. We delete corrections 12 months after we have dealt with them.

If you are a supplier

Listings are made from the supplier's own public pages: business name, website, public contact details, prices, areas and ages. We do not copy reviews, photos or long descriptions. A supplier can ask us to correct or remove their listing at any time.

If you claim a listing, we keep your name, work email, role and message so we can check the claim. We delete the claim 12 months after we have decided it. Once a claim is approved, your email address becomes your sign-in for the supplier area.

Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email. The supplier area sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 14 days. It is needed for the signed-in area to work and is not used for anything else. We store only scrambled (hashed) copies of sign-in links and sessions.

Changes you suggest to your listing are kept as the record behind the "confirmed by the supplier" label for as long as the listing exists, and for 24 months after it is removed. If your account no longer owns a listing, we delete it once you have not signed in for 12 months and no change history depends on it.

If you ask us to tell you when a featured spot opens, we keep that request for 12 months.

If you pay for featured placement, you pay on Stripe's own pages. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us. We keep Stripe's reference numbers for your customer record and subscription, and the dates of each placement, for seven years after it ends because they are business records.

Who else handles your information

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and its database, sends our emails and runs the spam check (Turnstile) on our forms. Turnstile may process your connection details to tell people from bots.
  • Stripe processes payments for featured placement, and receives the email address of a supplier who buys one.
  • Google runs Google Analytics for us, as described above. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Some of this processing happens outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We use these providers because they protect information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@partyfound.co.nz and we will reply within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with our reply you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its date. Back to the listings.
